"Do Not Remove Cover."

The real key to the Service Center is the people who take care of your equipment. Even if you never have a 911 situation with your equipment, it's good to know the people who are trained to keep equipment in top working order.

BEN BRYAN

Benito has been hunched over his guitar bench for many, many years in Service, and he is still too modest to admit that he's known as one of Seattle's premier luthiers. He does repairs, setups and guitar building and factory authorized service for Gibson, Martin, Fender, Epiphone, Ovation, Ibanez, and Takamine. Ben began his career with an apprenticeship with bass and guitar builder Harry Fleischmann in Denver, then left the Rocky Mountains and headed to Seattle.

"One thing that guitarists don't realize is how much better their guitars can sound if they just pay a little attention to them." Ben said. "You don't have to wait until you're a touring rock star to hire guitar tech. I'm here for you. Bring a guitar in to me and it's as good as having your own personal guitar tech. (Just don't ask him to go out on the road with you!).

The Service Center is located at 4327 Fremont Avenue N. In addition to repair work, they offer custom modifications, expert vintage repair and rebuilding, and a wide range of repairs and cleaning jobs that will pay for themselves by preventing serious breakdowns. Not only that, but they can clean the gunk out of your mixer even if you spill a mocha on it. The Service Center also sells parts for the do-it-yourselfers out there, reconed speakers, and has a semi-annual sell-off of unclaimed and abandoned gear.

You can drop off your equipment for service at the American Music store, or bring it on in to the Service Center in Fremont. Monday through Friday.
